Vancouver’s favourite ballroom show team has provided sophisticated and energetic shows at public and private events around the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island over the past 8 years. Weddings, fundraisers, corporate parties and festivals are just some of the types of events the JC Dance Co Performance Team has performed at.
The team has provided dance entertainment for organizations such as the PNE, BC Nurses Union, DreamZZ Entertainment Group, Capilano U, Surrey Memorial Hospital, Richmond Hospice Society, Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life, Steve Nash Block Party, Kids for Kids Vancouver Scholar Awards, Richmond Hospital Foundation, UBC Gala Ball and DanceSport BC Summertime Dance Series.
Dance Shows
The JC Dance Co. Performance Team is made up of 18 energetic and enthusiastic dancers who are ready to ‘Burn the Floor’ (so to speak)! The Team has a number of hot and exciting show pieces as well as cool and timeless classic show dances.
“Singing in the Rain”, “Great Gatsby” and “La La Land” are quintessential ballroom dance shows. For a different creative edge, the team also has fusion shows that combine ballroom with other forms of dance like Bollywood, Country and Lyrical Hip Hop.
All these show are ideal for corporate events, fundraisers and large scale weddings who are looking for unique and exciting entertainment.
Dance Demonstations
JC Dance Co. students are available for demonstrations. These dancers are all serious competitors who are enthusiastic and wanting to perform. Allow them to entertain you and your guests with a 3-5 ballroom dance demonstration. These dances can include either the Ballroom dances: Waltz, Tango, Viennese, Foxtrot & Quickstep, or the Latin dances: Samba, Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble & Jive. And yes, the full ballroom glitz and glamour costumes are part of the shows!
Corporate Presentations
Our performance team loves to be part of corporate events such as annual award presentations and other social events that bring staff together for inspiration and fun. We’ll organize a great show and can even include a fun interactive beginner dance lesson that will have your staff strengthening their sense of camaraderie even after the event is over. The performance team is renowned for their hybrid ballroom and latin shows, which mix contrasting dance styles and cultures into wonderfully authentic and memorable numbers. Who could have thought that a combination of Waltz and Hip-Hop or Samba and Bollywood could work so well on the stage! We have themed dance shows that span from the timeless “Singing in the Rain”, “Great Gatsby” and “La La Land”, to contemporary shows with music from Justin Timberlake and Pit Bull.
